Borrego Springs is a destination. Tucked away from major highways, you either got lost or really wanted to come. Totally surrounded by the largest state park in the lower 48, Borregans are striving to preserve the peaceful and fragile desert. One of the main duties of the Honorary Mayor is ensure no stop light is placed in our community. So far, only a few stop signs and many yield signs direct the traffic.
Don't expect franchise stores in Borrego. You will need to drive 1 to 2 hours to find one. What you can expect is a town with golf courses, gas stations, a local bank, a small grocery store, post office, many churches, a county library, various restaurants, a local performing arts center, art studio, and people of all ages.
So pack your bag with whatever outdoor activity gear you like to do whether it be hiking, biking, golfing, or watching the night sky. You will meet many people from around the world who purposefully come and, many times, return each year to enjoy a quality of life they don't get back in the busy city.
If this is where you wish to live or have a second home, check out the various homes I have listed. If they are not what you are looking for, I can show you more. Thanks for visiting! Contact me with any questions. |
